They are used to running around a fenced yard during the day, so a fenced yard is a requirement. Brock has a required training addendum, so his new family will need to commit to that. Despite his leg issues, Brock loves to run and retrieve balls and frisbees. Daisy is happy to follow along, but doesn’t really fetch. Daisy adores kiddie pools filled with water, but Brock doesn’t. These two have mostly lived in the yard and a barn the past few years, though Brock has lived inside before.
They’ll need some patience and instruction in indoor living, leash-walking, etc. They haven’t had many car rides, but did well on the ones they did have. Both are good with other dogs, but shouldn’t be around cats. If your heart is big enough for this sweet, loving pair, please come meet them today.
Brutus is a great dog and as he’s settled into his foster home more, his personality has started to shine each day! He is friendly, loves ice cubes, is house broken, sleeps through the night and will let you know when he needs to go outside to potty. He is the perfect combination of playful and calm, knows “sit”, takes treats well and settles down quickly on a nice comfy dog bed.
Surrounded by the pack, he happily rushes the neighbors for treats and love. He would like to live with another confident, playful dog who will show him the ropes. Dewey will thrive in an active family with patient humans who will give him plenty of time to settle in. Handsome, loving Drako is a smart, happy guy who loves attention. He is very friendly and likes to be with other dogs and people.
She is comfortable around her foster mom and dad, although she prefers when her doggy friends are close by. Birdie would love another high energy dog to run around with, and patient adopters that will give her time to settle in and share her sweet smiles. She is pretty easy from a training perspective, and as a young pup will benefit from additional training and the bonding time with her new family. She loves to play in the yard and will benefit with another playful, confident dog in her home to burn off her energy and help her relax around new things.
I was born and raised in the small town of Clinton, Oklahoma. I always had a love for animals, which led me to pursue a career in zookeeping. I worked at various zoos across the country before becoming the director emeritus of the Zoo and Aquarium. I am now retired from my career in zookeeping, but I still enjoy caring for animals as a hobby.
